Jake has over 25 years working in the charity sector focused on addressing inequality and systemic racism. He has raised over £45m for Black and Global majority communities. From his humble beginnings as the CEO of Hackney CVS he built the organization into the largest local infrastructure body in London. He is a founder and influencer on many levels. He has established the Baobab Foundation; Hackney Giving; Black Men 4 Change and the Hackney Improving Outcomes for Young Black Men initiative. He has also helped to create the Alliance for Police Accountability. He was a founding member of the London Violence Reduction Unit and is an ongoing member of the London Partnership Board supporting the creation of the Building a Fairer City Action Plan.He is a former trustee of NCVO and NAVCA.
